Does Grover Actually Smell Like Fish? (And Other Things You're Too Polite to Ask)

We get asked this one a lot, usually by someone holding a bag of Grover at arm's length, bracing for impact. So let's clear the air. Literally.

Does Grover smell like fish?

Nope. We use fillets, not whole fish, so there's none of that fish shop / low-tide-at-the-jetty aroma. 

Here's the bit most people don't know: most fish-based pet food is made from whatever's left over once the good stuff's been taken out. Heads, frames, offal, the works. That's where the smell comes from. We do the opposite.
